Hello there! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter in search of the magic in everyday moments.
Friends, I hope you won’t mind, but I’d love to linger for just one more week in Assisi — specifically to celebrate what Assisi means to you.
When I began sharing about my brief foray to Umbria this summer, I had no idea so many of you have been there yourself. You’ve stayed in its convents and monasteries; you’ve delighted over its windowboxes filled with geraniums; and as you’ll read below, someone has even been to the very watercolor shop I wrote about here.

Reading your own stories from Assisi has made this series one of my favorites I’ve worked on in a while. And so for today’s post, I’ve hand-lettered a few of your comments, as my way of honoring this special corner of the world and what it means to us all.
Thank you always for taking the time to share your memories, and for adding so many layers to each story.
With love,
Candace
PS — later this week, I’ll be sharing more about my visit to A. Gallo in August’s letter to paid subscribers. If you’d like to receive it as well, you can sign up here.
Thank you again for all of your wonderful comments throughout this series, especially to
, , and .
What a sweet picture of Ava dancing in the street.
So lovely, Candace! I want to go to Assisi and to visit that watercolor shop! I am also making sure I tell my friend Elisa about that shop! ~:D
