Hello! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter that is hand-painted and hand-lettered, from my desk to yours.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve loved sharing “Home is a Window Seat” with you, chapter by chapter. Today, I’m excited to publish the full essay in one post, in case you’d like to read it in a single sitting (my husband Jose always refers to this moment as the “essay finale” 🎉).
By having all the installments in one place, I also hope it will make it easier to share. If there’s someone you think would enjoy it, please feel free to send the story their way.
With love — and stay tuned for a special edition of Dandelion Seeds next week!

"'That's my daughter,'" I say to myself, as quietly and reverently as if I've just seen the Andes from above for the first time."
Right now, I'm saying that quietly and reverently about you, dear daughter of mine.
This is a drink of fresh, cool water on a very hot, summer day.
Love you!
Beautiful writing. Shows space around the words where I can breathe. I got poor again, so hardly fly and I regretted that. Recently, I rediscovered writing and began to find perspective.
When I saw the length and format of this piece I complained inwardly, wondering if I had time for it. Now I want to share the experience.
