Hello! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter that’s hand-drawn and hand-lettered, from my desk to yours.
Right now, we’re halfway through a new illustrated essay series called “Home is a Window Seat.” Even though the story of the window seat in this week’s installment took place more than a decade ago, I still remember it as if it were yesterday.
I remember the heartbreak I carried on board with me, and I remember the breathtaking view that window offered me, making me feel like everything was going to be okay — and just maybe, more than okay.
Here’s to the gift of perspective,
Candace
Home is a Window Seat: Indonesia
"not something to be questioned away"
(which makes me rethink the role of questions in conversation)
"sometimes it comes with time / And sometimes it comes with distance"
(which is a comfort. and wise.)
Loved this. Beautiful.
