Hello there!
And welcome to our third community edition of Dandelion Seeds, How We Tell Time — a collection of stories written by you, illustrated and hand-lettered by me, and inspired by this question:
How do you tell time? And how do you know a new season is near?
It is always an honor to share your stories, but it just so happens that I am especially honored today.
On Saturday, my original callout post for this collection was featured in the latest edition of
Reads, curated by the wonderful of .Because of the feature, there are now almost 3,000 of you receiving this post (hi! 👋), and so the timing of our third collection feels rather fortuitous — a new community edition to celebrate the beautiful community on Substack.
If you’re new to Dandelion Seeds, I’m so glad you’re here, and to everyone who shared about how you tell time, thank you for entrusting me with your stories.
Here’s to welcoming new seasons — in the world, and in our lives.
With love,
Candace

Lovely — thank you!
These are all wonderful. My favourite is mid life by Melony Lucas. It's so sweet with a tinge of sorrow in her beloved children now grown and at a distance.
