Hello there! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter in search of the magic in everyday moments.
Today marks the third week of our new community series, The Words We Reach For, and one of my favorite things about this project so far is how the poems seem to be in conversation with each other.
The poem that originally inspired the series was a blessing by John O’Donohue, “For One Who Is Exhausted” — especially his line, “You will return to yourself.”
Today’s poem, which was shared by Phyllis Brotherton, feels like a perfect echo of that blessing. Through everything that life has held for us, and continues to hold, may we always return to ourselves, and may we greet ourselves arriving.
With love,
Candace

Thank you, Candace, for highlighting this beautiful poem that has given me so much joy over the years in rereading. And for your touching images.
Beautiful, Candace. For some of us, it’s quite a journey to get to that place of acceptance, that we too are people worthy of love. Thank you for helping us to celebrate that moment.
