Oh, yes! It is her time too. It is blooming time for all of us, if we will only slip the buds of our fear and anxiety and grief and let our hearts bloom for each other. We can light the world with our inner beauty. We can weave spring for everyone, every human, every life on this glorious, animate Earth. We can. We must.
"We can weave spring for everyone, every human, every life on this glorious, animate Earth." Susan, I am moved by every comment you so generously take the time to leave here, but this one feels especially poignant and timely this week. I'm going to be thinking about your beautiful reflection, and asking myself how I can let the buds of my own fears fall away this season. Thank you so much as always for being here -- your words and your presence are such a gift πΏπ€π
"I'm going to be ...asking myself how I can let the buds of my own fears fall away this season." Yes! These are heart-wrenching times, but if we have the courage to let our hearts open despite all, we can grow the kind of society that we want to live in. Your words and drawings help us see the way.
Yesterday was a beautiful early spring day. Buds on the lilac bush, moved heated birdbath to the garage until winter and three robins in my front year. Weβll have colder days again but the bitter cold has departed.ππ»
Sarah, it's wonderful to picture the gifts of your early spring day -- especially the lilac bush and the gift of those three robins in your yard. And if I'm not mistaken, I even remember you sharing about bringing out the heated birdbath last autumn, so it feels like quite the full-circle moment to hear it's now been put away this week. What a lovely way to mark the seasons and the passing of each year πΏπ€π
Ahh I can't imagine a better companion to have in one's garden than a magnolia π₯Ή and yes! It's only my third spring in Belgium, but there just seems to be something about this time of year here that has some magic to it πΈβ¨
I love it! I fully feel this. There have been SO MANY THINGS, and finally, they're blooming in my life. It feels like the winter season was so long. And, personally, all the things are happening for me now, this year, in this stage of life. And it's exciting, and it's scary! I am doing my best to ride the wave β₯οΈ
Amanda, this is amazing to hear! I'm so happy for you and for this blooming time -- may it be filled with color and life and the joy of things long dreamt of coming to fruition πΈπ€β¨

I love the changing seasons. I feel the comfort of the world before me and the world to come after me.
Did you know that magnolia petals are edible? People used to make cookies with them.
I did not know that! But that's fascinating to learn, and yet another reason to love magnolias π
Lucky daughter, lucky mom.

Lovely as always. β¨ππΌβ¨
Thank you so much, Alyson -- I'm so glad you enjoyed this πΈπ€
I love this time of year, and the magnolia in my garden announcing itself
