Dear friends,

One of the things I loved most about sharing the tulip picking festival with you this past month was spending more time with the color yellow.

Yellow isn’t a color I paint with very often, apart from using it to make different shades of green. In fact, when it comes to the subjects I’m normally inspired to capture, it might even be the color I feature the least.

But as I began looking through my photos from the festival and deciding on the illustrations I wanted to create for this new series, I was surprised to find that there was yellow everywhere.
