Tuesday morning, I smile when I see Dandelion Seeds in my inbox. A special uplift for me. Always love the illustrations and the story behind them. Your train ride sounds magical to arrive in Paris! And with two little girls to share the wonders of boats and macarons. I took a train ride recently, from central Illinois to Glacier National Park. A trip that was special in its own way...to totally leave everything up to the tour and enjoy myself. Thank for my Tuesday uplift.

It makes me so happy to read your Dandelion Seeds when they show up in my inbox! I love your artwork! And those pictures, makes me miss Paris! As for the macarons...yummmmmy! I still have the box I bought while visiting a year ago!

Congrats for your SS anniversary! Here's to many more!

Such a coincidence to see the title of this story, Candace. Last week I looked up the word “touchstone,” as I was staying in Edinburgh, and it has always felt like what I call a touchstone in my life. I was surprised that its official original definition has something to do with detecting the genuineness of silver and gold. I really thought it was about finding your centre and coming back to a feeling of your true self, but I couldn’t find that meaning online. I still feel it’s true for me. I even have actual stones I keep in my pocket sometimes to bring me back to myself. Grounding. Centering. Checking in with your center of gravity, your true North. Maybe it’s lost that meaning, but I grew up with it, and I now see that you did too. Some people in your life are touchstones too. Candace, you, through your writing, are a touchstone to me, bringing me home to my self every time. Thank you🌀

Thank you lovely Candace for sharing these moments of brightness. It always brings me joy. I live on Vancouver Island and we are fighting to bring back the train. As a child living in Europe we took the train all over the Netherlands. My sister and I would take the train together when we were quite young and always felt safe. Such a wonderful mode of travel. Keep shining. 🪷💗☀️

You are blessed to be able to go to Paris....just a train ride away. I'll never forget my week spent there and my summer of Europe on $5 a day......
