Hello there! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter that is hand-painted and hand-lettered, from my desk to yours.
Last week, Elena and I made our way back to Belgium after spending time with family in the US. And during one of our layovers, there was a small moment that’s stayed with me since we’ve been home — a moment that almost felt like a blessing.
Normally, it takes me a few weeks to put together a new illustrated essay, as there’s lots of new artwork to create. But when I realized that some of the illustrations I created for “Home is a Window Seat” would also pair perfectly with this story, I was excited to share the moment with you while it’s still fresh.
I can’t wait to hear what you think of this new essay, and if there’s someone you know who might enjoy it, please feel free to send the story their way, too.
With love,
Candace
Once again, you bring me to tears. I need this today. Your keen attunement to pause in life always astounds me. If we all implemented this fine art of seeing the joy peppering our path, the world in which we live would be so much better. Help me, God, to activate this today. ❤️
Finding the meaning of life in the most unexpected places, that is living fully with intention. Well done pulling this off with a toddler at the airport! You are a great writer, artist AND superwoman🙂
