Hello there! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter in search of the magic in everyday moments.
As I write this, there’s a jar of tulips sitting on my desk. There are rows of daffodils lining the roads of Antwerp. And in all our favorite parks there are crocuses, growing together in little groups of purple and white — the colors of hope.

Even more than the first day of spring on my calendar, these flowers are all I need to know we’re entering a new season.
I wrote about this last year, in one of my favorite illustrated essays I’ve created for Dandelion Seeds. It’s called “How I Want to Tell Time,” and as we welcome spring this week, today feels like a good day to share it with you again.
With love,
Candace
Thank you for reposting this charming reminder of Spring. We're getting daffodils in our backyard where Jeff planted them amid the grass lawn. The squirrels have emerged from their dens and are baffled by the baffles hanging on the bird feeder poles. teehee Birds are flying in for snacks without fighting the squirrels. Backyard wildlife is so much better than TV. So much drama and mayhem and also comedy. May I ask ... does it seem like you've been in Belgium forever? I know it's only been a couple of years, but you seem to have settled in so beautifully.
This was so lovely
