Thank you for reposting this charming reminder of Spring. We're getting daffodils in our backyard where Jeff planted them amid the grass lawn. The squirrels have emerged from their dens and are baffled by the baffles hanging on the bird feeder poles. teehee Birds are flying in for snacks without fighting the squirrels. Backyard wildlife is so much better than TV. So much drama and mayhem and also comedy. May I ask ... does it seem like you've been in Belgium forever? I know it's only been a couple of years, but you seem to have settled in so beautifully.
This is soooo beautiful! So glad to have found your work! I’m a writer and my husband’s a painter! We’re sharing paintings and ponderings—dispatches from our search for the sublime. :)
Gorgeous Candace. I'm telling time by the teeny bite in the air in the mornings, and the arrival of the first crusty brown leaves on the pavement, down here in the Southern Hemisphere 🍂
My daffodils are blooming, the robins greet the day with their bright song, and the peonies have begun to poke their purple buds through the earth. On this first day of spring, this lovely story was a sweet reminder of the blessings of slowing down and being present to what is here. Thank you!
Thank you for this lovely little hop into Spring! Your crocuses at the bottom look so lively, like they are looking up, ready to welcome wanderers with a warm smile.
Would that we could tell time and see its passing once more by the natural movement of the seasons. (I bet it’d sure solve this ruckus in the States about whether or not to keep daylight savings!) Thank you for sharing (again :)).

Nature's rhythms are my favorite form of calendar.
Love this all over again❤️

Loved re-reading this!
As a new subscriber, I’m so grateful you reposted this. Absolutely gorgeous! We saw our first bluebonnets of the season. Spring is here!
This lightens up my heart, thank you
It's great to tell time like that. I think more do than they realise. My only grumble is that those seasons and wonders still go by too quickly
Candace! As always, you leave a little gift of joy! Thank you.
