Candace, I am a newbie in your lovely garden. Congratulations on your second year. You are so wise and thoughtful...and yet so young. Reminding us that it does all add up is particlularly mindful now as I am caring for my 92 yr old MIL. I want you to know that you do make a difference in small and big ways. Best of luck on your next year.

I also a caregiver, and what beauty I find for coming here. It’s a blessing to see the world through Candace eyes. Truly.

I love seeing it all in one place like this. And I equally love how you've assembled it, with all the work behind it. Also, considering all that's happening in the world, it's good to be reminded of the power of small, deliberate actions adding up to something incredibly impactful. May we all remember that in the days ahead.

How lovely to see it all spread out together! I was just talking with a friend today about out desire for expansive time to do the things we love, how much we can do in a short time, and how much those bits sustain us, and how it is also helpful to have some more expansive stretches occasionally. But yes, it does add up.

I think this is wonderful. Moving down, scrolling down, like the ancient Chinese scrolls. I felt the smooth sequencing in front of my eyes the way it goes in my mind. Magical and suspenseful—and then, the great reward! It all adds up! Don’t we all hope for just that in our lives?

Exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you! Your paintings and the whole aesthetic of your newsletter are beautiful. Do you do each painting traditionally or digitally?

The power and beauty of staying on course! Kudos. to you I am very project driven and when I sometimes drag my feet I realize the lesson is always mine to learn. Our life need not be a race or rush, in fact as I get even older I think "slow it down. please" Savor and squeeze in all the moments you can. I loved seeing your work. Thank you!

Thanks Candace. I can relate. As my memoir class enters it's second year, I too have done quite a bit. Lucky to be alive.

"It all adds up" is the saying my children tell me they are going to write on my gravestone! It seems to be a central philosophy of mine. I loved the clear, meditative quality of scrolling through your words and illustrations, thank you. Beautiful.

Lovely paintings! What a beautiful book they would make, but looking at them side by side is lovely too. Thank you for sharing so many.

Presenting: The Candace Rose Rardon Retrospective! Congratulations on two years of beautiful paintings and stories. Looking at the tabletop of memories was a joy to see for me too. The plane flight, the flowers and geese. It's so gratifying to see what has been accomplished over the year or any other space of time. When I'm feeling blue and down on myself, I click on my Substack and scroll through the stories that have been organized by popularity. It's fun to see what others enjoyed reading and really satisfying to see how much I did and learned from doing these stories, learning how to manipulate the software to improve the layout, and most of all, to scroll through the comments. My conversation with readers have been what's kept me alive... and not in a medical sense. I've learned so much from you and my other friends here, it's been miraculous. Thank you, Candace, for your art and stories and your infinite kindness towards me. I can be grumpy sometimes.
