Hello there! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter in search of the magic in everyday moments.
About a month ago, I invited you to help me bring a new community edition of Dandelion Seeds to life, by thinking about this question:
What is your good place?
To my great delight, nearly 40 people responded, sharing about the good places you’ve found in the world; places where you feel at peace, in your body and soul.
I loved reading your responses so much that I’d like to spend a little more time with them than in just a single edition. For the next three weeks, I’ll share three of your good places each week — starting today, with the places that give us shelter.
See you beneath the oak tree,
Candace
Thank you to everyone who shared your good places, especially Jacki,
, and . It’s an honor to share your stories in our new series.
Ohhh, I love that you’ll be sharing these “good places” as a 3-week series. The oak one really resonated with me. It was such a beautiful reminder why my husband and I took the time and money—established trees cost more than we bargained for—to plant new oaks after we lost several trees to the recent Texas droughts. With each tree we planted, we reminded ourselves that someone, long into the future, would be enjoying their shade. Thank you for your beautiful work!
these are just delightful! <3
