Here in Central Florida, the Gardenias are filling the breeze with their beauty. The Magnolia buds are beginning to open. A few jacaranda trees are blooming. It is a beautiful time.

How lovely this post is. And that poem sets me wandering in the desert, listening to the wind and the pinions whispering their stories. Wisteria woven through the branches of a mighty pine tree is stunning. Rather than a parasite, the wisteria is supported with the pine's strength and breadth. A symbiotic relationship.

I can't wait for my wisterias to wake up, but it's been so cold and inconsistent this spring, many trees and bushes are still dormant. It will take a bit longer.

Here, in Southern New England, Spring looks like grape hyacinth and daffodils. It looks like cherry blossoms and unexpected sunburns. It looks like we're going outside without a jacket because it's 50 degrees! 60 degrees...the communal sadness starts to lift. 70 degrees...let's go to the beach!

I have a dear old friend who lives just outside my bedroom window. She's been there over 50 years and every spring she dresses herself like a bride with masses of white blossom. Later in the year, if things go well, she produces a huge crop of Crab Apples. But the Spring is her best time. This years she seems bigger and brighter than ever.

"The forest knows

Where you are. You must let it find you."

I love those last two sentences! They make me want to go get lost outdoors somewhere.

That Wisteria!! Wow! My neighbor planted wisteria along our shared fence line last year. We've had star of jasmine covering the fence for years that smells amazing. So, I'm excited for when the wisteria begins to truly grow. It's still very tiny and no flowering as of yet, but I imagine a gorgeous full-grown plant in the years to come.

Beautiful. The wisteria is out here in Tokyo, competing with the vivid colours of the azaleas.

Here in south east queensland it is autumn; however the golden penda trees here are now flowering, they are planted as native street trees everywhere and popular with rainbow lorikeets and they reminded me very much of your wisteria in Montevideo.

I'd love to see & breathe in wisteria up close & personal. I understand I can find some in New England, but haven't yet.💜

Still, spring is so bright & colorful where I live. Daffodils greet me everywhere I go, cherry blossoms and apple blossoms fall like snow on the ground that's green with moss. Magnolia trees sport their sweet blossoms, too, giving us a chance to glow in their shade. Our local Botanical garden has all this, too, and more. Spent Easter walking around the garden with a friend. Hello new life! 🪻

I live in NC where wisteria is wildly invasive. Any beauty is dimmed from the work of trying to keep it out of the big trees. If you rake the earth anywhere in my yard you will see dozens of wisteria vines... I could spend the rest of my entire life battling it and not win.
