Hello! And welcome to Dandelion Seeds, an illustrated newsletter that is hand-drawn and hand-lettered, from my desk to yours.
Before I introduce today’s post, I wanted to take a moment and say how amazed I was after I shared the full essay version of “Home is a Window Seat” last week. So many of you took the time to share the story, and more than a hundred new people have signed up to Dandelion Seeds since then. I couldn’t be more excited to say hello and welcome to you all! 👋
It also feels like a perfect week to be welcoming so many new faces around here, as we’ve got a special edition of Dandelion Seeds today.
Throughout the journey of sharing “Home is a Window Seat,” I loved reading through your comments each week, which were filled with tales of the wonder and awe you’ve also felt from 30,000 feet. And so today, I’ve pulled together a selection of your own window seat stories, which I was inspired to hand-letter and create a couple of new illustrations for.
It’s my little way of saying thank you, and honoring the community I’m so happy to be finding here on Substack.
With love,
Candace

Nice to know--and not at all surprising--that others enjoyed it as much as I did.
What a great way to give back to your readers, Candace! This was a very special edition indeed :)
