May all perils veer around you. Thank you, Candace, for your infinite generosity and patience with those who live in a snarky, barky society. I love opening your newsletter and seeing the magic that flows through your pens and your words. It seems to come easily for your indeed because it all comes from a good heart. Cheers for a blessed holiday season.

Took me forever to get to this post but am I ever glad I didn't just delete it unread in my inbox! Those words are so helpful to me right now in a season where it seems like literally nothing is going easily for me. Thanks for this post. I'm 100% downloading the wallpaper...with the Turkish.

Hi Candace! I love this expression and the download you did with it. I would like to write my own little blurb about the expression and was wondering if I could use the download on my essay? I would give you all the credit and link to the article you did for it, but I wanted to ask and make sure you were okay with it.

Once again, Candace! Maybe one day I will be brave enough to share a book I wrote and illustrated (“The Sad, Strange Story of Al’s Cheeseburger”), but today is not that day. And it certainly is no match for what you do. Sigh.

Some of us are gifted to create beautiful things from the heart and some of us are destined to fly ancient C-47 transports with one smoking engine to deliver milk powder to starving women and children at the end of tiny jungle runways while dodging small arms fire, at least in our dreams. It sounds better than telling people I taught poor village children around the world to wash their hands after using the bog. As I said, we all have our gifts and as always, I am grateful that you share yours.
